Absolute best restaurant we ate at in Florence. Staff was wonderfully welcoming and food was delicious. My boyfriend and I agreed that it was the best meal we've ever had. Don't skip dessert!

This restaurant is next door to the place where we are staying, and it was so delightful to just pop down for a bite.
They have several excellent wine options, and the meat and cheese board is the perfect size and variety. We paired our board with a lovely half bottle of chianti, and this was a perfect light meal.
Our server also suggested we try the tiramisu, and this was spectacular. Definitely one of the top five tiramisus I have had in my life!
I loved this restaurant, and it was a wonderful experience. Being so close to the Duomo and Piazza della Signoria, there are a lot of very touristy, overpriced restaurants, but this place is not one of them! They are friendly to travelers, to be sure, but they do not take advantage. Fabulous! -

Coming from a tourist town I always want to find little hidden gems! This quaint little place was out of the main traffic areas located in an alley. We decided to give it a try since it appeared to be more of a locals place than a tourist trap.
Service was pleasant and prompt. We decided on two starters. Hubby has to order anchovies whenever he sees them on a menu. He really enjoys them but I think he secretly also enjoys my disgust at the fragrance. Anyway, he ate the whole tin himself and seemed pretty pleased. For us to share, we ordered a charcuterie sampler. This I could dig into! The meats were fabulous! It was a nice portion and a great selection to munch on!
For hubby's main he ordered truffle risotto. I didn't know until then that he had never had truffles! Oil yes, but not the real deal - and no it is in no way the same! I am not a risotto fan but I could have eaten the whole bowl had he let me! Fantastic!
I had the tagliatelle with duck ragu. The pasta was perfect fresh and had just the right bite to it. The duck ragu was rich but not overpowering. It was perfect in proportion since the tagliatelle and the ragu complimented each other instead of over powering one another.
I love finding those little places that bring it! They did!
I would recommend and wishing now I was there again! -

This restaurant was recommended to us by another well reviewed restaurant on Yelp since they were booked. Happily we took their advice. The owner was extremely personable, but more importantly, the food was delicious. My friend and I started off with a pear and walnut salad which had small slivers of cheese in it. It was super fresh and delicious. I had the filet with tartufo sauce which was cooked to a perfect medium rare with the most delicious sauce ever. My friend had the risotto with saffron & crispy bacon. At first the risotto was a bit bland & I was honest with him about it because he seemed like he really cared about whether we were happy or not. Even though we refused to have him make it again, he insisted on getting our opinion on whether they had made it better or not the 2nd time around & Indeed they had. It was flavorful and both brothy & creamy with well salted crispy bacon pieces. We finished off the meal sharing panna cotta with wild blueberry sauce & the creamiest tiramisu which were both outstanding! I highly recommend this restaurant.
